18 Oct Allow me to clarify
On October 2, 2018 the Times Herald printed long letter by Mark Altselt where he accurately stated the statics of the United States Annual Deficit and the National Debt. – Alselt also accurately states where corporate money dominates politics in this Country. – So far, so good. – Altselt then writes: “The United States would benefit from the understanding and adopting some of the Chinese … economic system. Let me inform you Mister Altselt, the Chinese duplicated the United States economic success. What is there to have learned from a country that was subjugated to the dictatorship of Mao Zedong? – Before Mao died on September 9, 1976 China was at rock bottom due to the failed attempts of the, “Great Leaps Forward,” and the convulsive, “Cultural Revolution,” that resulted with China being decades behind any Industrialized country.
Henry Kissinger’s, “Ping Pong,” diplomacy was manipulated by an ill (but mental clever) Mao and his subordinate Chou En Lai. Their plan was to have an accord with the United States where hundreds of millions of idle workers would produce material goods that would flood both North and South America. – Richard Nixon was President and to off-set Russia’s belligerence, he flew to Beijing on February 17, 1972. The improbable took place, Nixon who made political fame as an anti-communist, was photographed sitting next to an ailing Mao as he gazed upon the feeble old man like a school boy looks upon a rock and roll or athletic idol. – Mao and Chou En Lai’s plan worked; millions of, “proletariat,” workers produced materiel goods to the extent where the United States began to borrow money from China (though the average Chinese worker made less than five dollars an hour) because of the United States inability to balance its budget. This was inconceivable only twenty years earlier when China’s economic system was as stricken as its leader. – When Mao died, there was only one way for China to go and that was up.
China’s economy is now second to that of the United States and what have the Chinese leaders done with their economic, proletariat generated, wealth? They have poured billions of dollars in an attempt to match the United States military and space program The Chinese have a military strong hold in the Horn of Africa, Djibouti and have cast their eyes upon the Philippines. It is their plan to dominate and control all maritime traffic inbound and outbound from the Red Sea to the Philippines. In this World that we live in, it is to dominate or be dominated. This does not ring well with the Millennials; be that as it may, this is the way it has been, and, this is the way it is.
For the last 34 years, I have been employed by Military Sealift Command that has been a vital part that have arrested the advancement of tyrants like the Russian supported Muammar al Qaddafi, the Ayatollahs of Iran, Saddam Hussein and recent China excursions upon the Sprately Islands.
As for the new erected mega-modern cities that China has made for its people, these cities lack spirit, they lack a soul as human beings do not live on material wealth and goods alone, there is an invisible void.
Thank you for allowing me to elaborate.
